Luba will be doing a reading of Michael John LaChiusa's "First Daughter Suite" on Oct. 14th playing Hannah Nixon, Richard's Quaker mother.
Playbill: "His upcoming projects also include a sequel to his 1993 musical First Lady Suite, titled First Daughter Suite. The piece is a commission for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and will have a New York reading this fall."

Staged readings of the new musical Pumped will be presented Sept. 26-27 at the Roundabout Theater Rehearsal Studios in Manhattan.
Pumped features music and lyrics by Kyle Ewalt and Michael Ian Walker (Bromance: the Dudesical) and a book by JD Jacobson and Nicole Jacobson.
Directed by Evan Pappas with musical direction and arrangements by Adriá Barbosa, the readings will feature the talents of Autumn Hurlbert, Luba Mason, AJ Shively and Lenny Wolpe with Lisa Birnbaum, Zachary Clause, Kevin Curtis, Tessa Faye, Michael Lorz, Ashley Park, CJ Pawlikowski, Jacqueline Petroccia, Todd Thurston, Andromeda Turre and Vicki Van Tassel. Casting is by Michael Cassara, CSA.
Marla Woodhill presents the invitation-only readings of Pumped, which, press notes state, tells the story of "Gloria (Hurlbert), a fashion-challenged MBA graduate, who must succeed in the shoe salon of a renowned NYC retailer in order to fulfill her late mother’s dreams. When the store is threatened by a ruthless private equity firm, Gloria, helped by a trio of talking pumps, must take a risk, find her passion, and above all, be true to her shoes."
Luba finished a reading for "Social Life : The Musical" last Tuesday, Sept 17. This show's book & lyrics are by Ricky Dunlop & Chris Myers.
